AKC AGILITY LEAGUE SEASON THREE TEAM CHAMPIONS ANNOUNCED

The American Kennel Club (AKC®), a not-for-profit organization, the world's largest purebred dog registry and leading advocate for dogs, is pleased to announce the winners of the AKC Agility League's third season.

The AKC Agility League is brought to you by Purina Pro Plan, the Official Dog Food of Agility League, Official Sponsor YuMOVE and AKC Pet Insurance. The AKC Agility League recently concluded its third season and named the winners of both the team and individual dog divisions. The season ran from January 16th – April 9th, with more than 200 teams and 1,200 dogs participating from around the country, including Hawaii and Alaska.

The League added more classes for this season, allowing dogs of all skill levels to participate. In addition to the Ph.D. (international) and Senior (masters) classes, the League now offers the Sophomore class for Open-level dogs and the Freshman class for Novice dogs. Another addition was a class to allow more competitors to try the Ph.D. class that features International Sweepstakes Class (ISC) -style courses. The new Regulation Ph.D. class features shorter ISC courses for smaller fields and rings. The League continues to offer the Limited division for those schools and clubs with smaller spaces and features shorter courses.

Enrollment is currently open for the Spring/Summer season that starts on May 15th.

"The AKC Agility League's third season was a great success," said AKC Executive Secretary Gina DiNardo. "We are excited for the future of the League and so grateful to all the participants from this season."
