Exactly how many volunteers does it take to repackage over 14K diapers?
Thirty one! The Eugene Police Department (EPD) had 31 people help to repackage 14,450 diapers collected from the community. The diapers are now on their way to the families that need them, EPD shares on Thursday.
EPD tells us that back in August, the Lane County Diaper Bank had collected 12,801 diapers at EPD's site. This amount would be able to help up to 500 families with a pack of 25 diapers.

2024's total of 14,450 diapers collected shatters 2023's collection of 5,800.
EPD tells us these drives are important to the community to help the Diaper Bank to supply 20,000 diapers monthly, free of charge to families in need.
